NestSync
Project Vision
A family scheduling concept app that helps parents and caregivers stay organized, making family coordination stress-free.
Duration: Nov 2024 - March 2025
Role: Ux designer
Responsibilities: User research, Wireframing, Prototyping

Background
I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming family life can be when multiple schedules overlap and there’s limited time and energy to manage them. Parents constantly juggling work, school drop-offs, extracurriculars, and household responsibilities, often struggling to keep everyone in the loop. Last-minute changes—like a delayed meeting or a canceled ride—can throw everything off, leaving them scrambling for a solution. Coordinating with co-parents, caregivers, and other family members only adds to the challenge.
NestSync helps parents stay organized and ensure their children are always cared for by simplifying scheduling, streamlining communication, and making last-minute changes easier.
User Research
To better understand family scheduling challenges, I explored parenting communities, real-life scenarios, and online resources. Certain family dynamics such as being a single parent, raising a child with disabilities, or having kids with large age gaps, can make scheduling even more difficult. These insights helped shape NestSync into a flexible, supportive tool designed to meet a wide range of family needs.
Pain Points
Schedule Changes
Parents struggle with overlapping commitments, last-minute changes, and constantly rearranging plans to accommodate work, school, and family needs.
Communication
Communicating with co-parents, older kids, nannies, daycares, and other caretakers can be challenging, especially in emergencies or when plans shift unexpectedly.
Juggling Priorities
Parents juggle household errands, medical appointments, and personal priorities while striving to keep everyone’s needs in balance.

Conclusion
NestSync was my first real introduction to the design process, and I learned so much along the way. From talking to users to figuring out how to turn their challenges into helpful features, this project taught me how important it is to design with real people in mind. It also helped me understand the flow of a full UX project, from research to wireframes and beyond. As my first case study, it was both a challenge and a huge learning experience, and it made me even more excited to keep growing as a designer.
